Real estate doesn't have to be overwhelming! With me as your Realtor, you can navigate the challenges! And it involves more than just THE house. Fortunately, I know exactly how to help through the process, starting w/ a free consultation and ending with the keys. Over the past years, I have invested my time in creating positive solutions in the real estate world. With a strong foundation built on accounting, business management, and financial planning, I excel at navigating the challenging real estate market. Educating and guiding you through the process is at the core of my passion for real estate. And your questions are not only expected, but encouraged. I will answer questions, set realistic expectations, and (most importantly) communicate every step of the way.
As a kid, my first sentence was, “I do it myself!”... When facing bumps in the road on my journey, I continue to use that phrase, as it has become my life motto. No matter what challenge comes my way, I know I can find a solution and overcome it.
When I got into real estate, I knew I wanted to be more than just a traditional agent. I wanted to invest in properties of my own and offer my clients a unique perspective and understanding of the market. So, I took the plunge and began investing in real estate. We purchased vacant land and built a home. For a while, I did real estate part-time while still working in financial planning. I was making a good income and could support my family while also pursuing my passions.
For much of my childhood, I watched my parents create a life for themselves by being resourceful and using what they had. My father hand-built a house, planted orchards, and dedicated his life to organic farming - specializing in peaches. My mother had a similar spirit, running a nursery of her own. I learned to have the same curiosity, passion, and drive that my parents have.
When the housing market crashed, I found myself in a difficult position. The plans to develop land and build homes came to a halt. It was a tough and uncertain time. At one point, a mortgage broker even told me, “You might as well file for bankruptcy.” However, it was against my nature to give up. There was a way to make it through; I just had to find it.
After that, I continued to hear “No” more often than not, but I refused to give up on my dreams. Instead, I doubled down on my efforts. I worked harder than ever before, determined to turn things around and come out on top. I was approached by someone looking to start adult foster care homes. There were better financing options and grants through the state, and before we knew it, we were building custom properties for the project. Eventually, my hard work paid off. If I had given up, I would never have found that opportunity.
To date, I have personally bought and sold 15 properties. I was able to weather the storm and emerge stronger than ever before. While there have been some bumps in the road, the experiences and challenges have pushed me to be even more creative and find solutions when no one else can. In 2012, I became a full-time REALTOR®. I never stopped to question if I could do it; I knew I would make it work. I am grateful for the lessons I learned during that difficult time, and I use them to guide me as I work with my clients and help them navigate the real estate market. Through all of this, my husband has been my biggest cheerleader and a key part of our real estate business. He is also a licensed agent and always willing to help out with our properties and offers extra help when I need it. Our marriage is very special to us, as we had a personal, intimate ceremony in Hawaii, just the two of us. The pineapple has become a symbol of our love, as it represents welcome, friendship, and hospitality. It’s been a fun way to incorporate a personal touch into our branding. We love receiving pineapple-themed gifts and photos from clients and friends.
Traveling and experiencing new places has always been something my family and I are passionate about. Several years ago, we took our kids, Sophia, Niko, Maddy, and Gabby, on a month-long trip to Oahu. Needless to say, that was the vacation of a lifetime! And we try to incorporate the Aloha Spirit (pineapple) whenever we can. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and our two Golden doodles, Oscar and Bash. I also love yoga, essential oils and living a holistic life. It is important to me to feel grounded and find balance in my busy life as a mom, wife, and business owner.
I am proud of my journey and all that I have accomplished, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue making a positive impact in the lives of my clients. Whether I’m working with a first-time homebuyer or an experienced investor, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, and I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve their dreams.
Every client and every transaction is unique, and I enjoy the challenge of understanding exactly what you are looking for and making it a reality. By asking the right questions and creating a low-pressure environment, I aim to guide you through the process and ensure every decision is in your best interests. I take the time to find my clients the right home, not just any home. Building strong relationships is the key to success in real estate. For me, it is all about my clients and how I can help them. I am dedicated to providing the highest level of service and support through every transaction.
